To celebrate Wimbledon Weekend on Saturday 6
th July, and Sunday 7
th July, Two Rivers hosted a special event to enhance the shopping experience by offering complimentary strawberries and cream to visitors. This initiative was part of a broader town celebration, which included live screenings of Wimbledon matches at the Elmsleigh Centre, and Visit Staines' toddler tennis event, creating a festive, tennis-themed atmosphere throughout the area.
The Technology
To maximise engagement and seamlessly integrate the giveaway with the shopping experience, we leveraged our innovative Shopper Perks app. As shoppers connected to the free Wi-Fi within Two Rivers, they were prompted to download Shopper Perks. Through the app, they could easily redeem their complimentary strawberries and cream by selecting the specially added strawberries and cream perk. This approach not only drove app downloads and redemptions but also enhanced the overall visitor experience by offering a seamless and convenient way to participate in the event.
The Results
The Wimbledon Weekend promotion was a resounding success, with
250 perks redeemed over the course of the weekend. This not only highlighted the effectiveness of our
Shopper Perks app but also reinforced Two Rivers as a vibrant, community-focused shopping destination that actively participates in and enhances local events. The initiative successfully drove both foot traffic and digital engagement, setting a benchmark for future events.
